The second e-Learning expo in Athens was completed successfully during the first weekend of October 2010. The event took place in the Training Center of the National Bank of Greece in Glyfada. The event included numerous technological presentations, open discussions, showcasing of educational software, demonstration of e-Learning products and services, educational games and more. The Expo hosted more than 40 exhibitors and was supported by more than 20 sponsors.

The second face to face meeting for the Design-Practice project took place in Athens, on September 30, 2010. All project partners attended the meeting in the lovely Oasis hotel in Glyfada. During this meeting the partners reflected on the progress of the project so far, the deliverables and the upcoming deadlines. Important decisions were made on the next step towards the achievement of the project objectives and the work to be done by each partner.

The International Council for Educational Media (ICEM-CIME) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which has been active in the field of educational technology since 1950. It maintains operational relations with UNESCO and is an NGO affiliate. ICEM has been organizing its International Conference since its foundation and is getting ready to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2010. ICEM also publishes Educational Media International (EMI), a quarterly journal that publishes academic papers and articles about Educational Technology, Online-Learning, Media Design and Distance Education. CARDET represents Cyprus to this international organization.

After the success of last year's e-Learning Expo, our partners in the University of Piraeus are organizing the second e-Learning Expo, which will take place in Greece at October 2-3 2010. The e-Learning expo is the main Exposition for presenting e-Learning products ...

All partners participating in the project Design-Practice held internal dissemination activities within their organizations. With regards to external activities, ideas from the project have been disseminated in the following events:

On June 24, 2010 CARDET participated in the Innovative Education Forum 2010 held by Microsoft Cyprus. The event was successfully completed, with important participants such as the Minister of Education Dr Andreas Demetriou and Mrs Androulla Vasiliou, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth. The Cypriot press was in attendance and the event was presented in the News of several Cyprus TV stations, such as RIK and Sigma.
